This is the direct front view of the renovated Cathay Cineplex and it sure looks like the front part of a 50's theatre, especially the heading Now Open, The Cathay Cineplex reminds me of this [KONG, The Eighth Wonder Of The World].
Looking back, it sure also brings back much fond memories of the building but now not only can we experience her glorious past, but also the best of what technology and architecture designs brings.
The seats are known as "OSCAR" seats and once seated in it, man.. I can say it really made me feel so comfortable that even though at the end of the movie Mission Impossible III which I watched with my best friend Wubing , I don't feel like leaving the seat! Wish I could snap a photo to show you, but you know the cinema rule of NO Photography in the cinema theatres.
As I step out of the theatre and made my way out of the Cineplex, I was delighted to see the following wallpapers featuring the upcoming movies! Guess what? They are XMEN III: The Last Stand & Superman, Returns! Here's are a few photos I took...
So looking forward to watching them soon! Maybe, I'll will soon rate it with my own blockbusters's popcorn ratings!
Meanwhile, Here is the show which I watched today.
I understand from quite a few fellow bloggers, friends that the Mission Impossible III failed to satisfy the expectation of movie buffs and even with all the hype thru the advertisments, tv spots etc failed to garner much positive reviews and feedbacks.
However, on a personal note, I feel that the movie was alright and based on my own blockbuster's popcorn ratings, I give it 3.5 out of 5. This rating is for all the excitement factor, the technology, espionage actions especially the infiltration into the Vatican City. The only reason it could not get full marks, I believe is that the storyline is nothing new, it's always the hero under threat by a evil person using his loved ones, then the hero strikes back, evil person gets a gory death and finally hero wins.
Now for the funnier part.
Here are some of the pictures which I took at Cathay Cineplex and at Eng Wah Bugis earlier in the day. For a clearer view of the pictures, click on them.
Taken at Eng Wah Bugis Cinema.
Well, I guess that pretty much what happened today and I must say it was quite a fulfilling day. Looking forward soon to having another day quite like this soon.
Meanwhile, It's time to hit bed now. In a few hours time, I will have to go and place my sacred vote for the political party contesting for my Constituency. Yawn.. Good night everyone. I will update you of the results later on! Hope the party i'm voting on gets elected!
God Bless ya all!
Kevin
