Missing Saffie

Looking back, its been some 3 weeks since I last updated my blog since Good Friday.  Just got overwhelmed by too many things going on at the same time.  I wanted to upload some photos of my recent encounters but stupid fluke with iPhoto application, my photos was erased from my iPhone before I could completely transferred it out.  Super Irked!

Anyway, while browsing through some random photos on my Facebook random album, I saw the photos I took for 'Saffie' back then when she first entered my life in September 2009.

Looking back at her photos, ain't her a cutie pie?  I missed her so much, after she departed from my house in late January for a distant relative house who could provide her with all the playmates (fellow doggies) as well as a large place to roam about instead of my small HDB house that does not allow her breed.  Wishing her all the best, and sure hope one day, I'll be able to see her again.  God bless...

Saffie's New Chew and Toys!

It's been over a week since I last updated about Saffie, the new addition to my family; It's been a busy week with exams coming up, and now taking a little break to update. Without further ado... here's some photos and updates about Saffie.

A couple of days ago, my best pal, Wubing, passed me this packet of QC doggy chews, in which he once designed this and the entire series of QC doggy chews; Wubing passed me this packet because he heard that Saffie been wanting to bite cos she's teething now, and that this chewy treat should be tantalizing enough for Saffie.

Lo 'n' Behold! Saffie simply loves the doggy chew way even before I opened it and took it away from my hands, sniffing, wanting a piece of the chew...

Or could it be that she's just interested in that cute
little dog on the package wrapper? Hmmmm...

Anyway, after some tussles with Saffie, I managed to retrieved the package and began to open it up. Saffie was like sitting on the floor, earnestly looking at every single action in anticipation of the forthcoming treat.
(Sorry, no photo cos too busy opening the package.=P)

Here's some photos of Saffie enjoying her treats and if she could speak, maybe it goes as follows:

Saffie: "Chew chew.. hmmm.. this is nice.. yummy..."

"Now hold it there for me while I'm chewing cos I'm loving it!"

"Oh yeah, keep it coming, keep it coming, it's so tasty!"

"That's it! Keep it coming like a candy.. yummy!"

"Now, I'm going to have this for myself and myself only."

"Yummy yummy.. Hey! wait wait.. don't take it away from me!"

"Told ya don't take it away from me! I want to chew!"

"Finally I win! The chewy stick is mine! Mine! I'm gonna chew for all my worth!"

Pictures does tell a thousand words eh? I'm sure Saffie loves the chewy treats given by Wubing and I'm glad she loves it so much but I gotta ration it a bit, cos so far now, it's already the second stick or it'll be gone pretty soon.

Now the following pictures contains some form of nudity and readers must undertake that looking at the following pictures are strictly at your sole discretion only! =P

Here's a shot of Saffie chewing on her second chewy treat while resting on my brother; she's almost like the Cleopatra of the family, needing people to cuddle and holding the treat for her!

"Now hold the treat properly, while I chew!"
Ain't she's just adorable? Gotta hold the chewy treat for her while I go about snapping model shots for Saffie and her chew.  After chewing, my brother, Alan decides to give Saffie a little tummy rub and massage while cooing at her like a little baby.  She definitely enjoyed her tummy rub and massage as she's totally laid back onto Alan's hands until my camera flash came on...

Saffie: "Ahhhh!! My gosh! I'm exposed! Censor it!"
And as a good owner, I naturally gotta protect Saffie's innocence and censored it as requested.. =P

Finally, to round it off, the last two shots are my favorite shots of all as Saffie slept so peacefully in my arms.  (The following two shots are taken shortly after I took her in and cuddled her to sleep as she was having bouts of nightmares; I'm guessing must be from her traumas.)

"ZZzzzz... I'm so tired, Kevin's arm is so nice to sleep in, I don't wanna let go... zzz"

"ZZzz...Ahhh.. so nice, so warm, I'm so happy to be loved again!.. zzz"

Not forgetting, Alan recently also bought two squeeky chewy toys to help Saffie with her teething problem as well as her increasing stamina and playfulness... =P
Enjoy the very first movie starring SAFFIE and her toys!

Hope you all enjoy this little update!  Now back to crashing and mugging for my exams...

Introducing "SAFFIE"

Remember the little puppy that I adopted on Saturday morning?  Well, after a whole weekend racking my brains out to find a much suitable name for her alongside quite a bit of help, thanks to all my friends who recommended names like Mocha, Caramel, Brandy, Baby etc.

Still haven't found a name for me? =(
Researching on, getting some inspirations from the puppy's other sister now residing happily at one of my friend's house, who has initially named her 'Scooby' but now renamed 'Tuffie'.

Hello! My name is Tuffie!  Pleased to meet you! =)
From there on, I thought of food-spice related names and the name 'SAFFRON' comes into mind, as we all know that the "Saffron" spice is the world's most expensive and precious spice and comes in color of deep red orange to golden yellow, just as how this pup is to me, 'precious'; I decided to give the pup the name "SAFFIE" as derived from the word Saffron...  so here we go.. a little announcement from Saffie. =P

"Hello everyone! My name is Saffie! Pleased to meet you!" =P

Great Night Out & Morning Surprise! =P

Friday, September 25, 2009, is a night to remember; I decided to "gatecrash" via invitation by one of my friend, Lennard who is celebrating his 34th birthday together with some other birthday boys and girl at this place called HOUSE at 8D Dempsey Road.
HOUSE @ Dempsey Road
As for the party photos at House, I gotta wait for the better quality photos to come in first from the man, Lennard, himself before I post it up again. My mobile camera just sucks in poor lighting condition.  After a while, the rest of the group decided to head on down to White Rabbit along the Dempsey Road as well.  Mine mine, the crowd there was much bigger than at HOUSE and the decor was converted from a former Church!
Fancy Partying in a Former Church? Feeling Holy? =P

Pardon the poor quality, mobile camera la.. =P
After a while more of chit-chatting and photo-takings, quite a number of stomachs were rumbling away, so it's time for supper! Moving out.. the supper hungry decided to chow at BOON TONG KEE 文东纪 Chicken Rice Stall.  Ordered for myself a plate of Chicken Rice at SGD $5! and a unique IBC Original Root Beer at SGD $3 before taxes! Gosh!
IBC Original Root Beer since 1919! Very Nice but Expensive! =P
Sauteed Peanuts and Chicken Rice, check out the pyramid rice! =P
After having fed ourselves, it's time for a little 'Daring Adventure'.  The gang of 5 including me decided to go to the Seletar Camp at Jalan Kayu for a little night romp at the privatized airfield, taking a couple of shots for memory sake before heading to the Seletar Camp to watch the sunrise coming over the horizon.  Spooky? Dare to visit?

Private Jet anyone? Too bad, got security watch, if not sure get close for a better shot. =P
Now, after a while more of cam-whoring, met up with two more friends who drove to meet us at the Seletar Camp entrance.  Together we proceed to the Seletar Dam and lo and behold! as we approached the dam, there were two innocent looking puppies standing in the middle of the road.  Avoiding them and shortly, both got picked up by our group, not willing to leave them alone and worried for them, I decided to pick one of the puppies, (can't tell the breed) and bring her home. (Yay! Finally figure the sex!)
Awww.. look at her! =P So sad looking huh!?
Anyway, on reaching home, quickly gave the puppy a quick bath and shower to get rid of the dirt accumulated, made a makeshift place to rest in and fed some warm milk.  Poor puppy, must have not eaten in days, was shivering non stop and very clingy when I brought the puppy home.
Hungry little puppy.. so cute huh.. I'm so in love with her now.
And to top it off for a great eventful night out, this little puppy actually is quite well trained in private matters!  Practically house trained, uses the makeshift bed to pee and poop into.  So well trained, and I'm left wondering what the puppy did wrong that the previous owner gotta be so hardhearted to abandoned them at Seletar Dam where heavy construction works are going on right now.  Maybe it is God's will that we passed by the dam and save the two puppies from a possible tragic end and give them a real warm place to call home! =)
Couldn't help taking this last photo of the puppy sleeping underneath me, next to my legs.
Now, just gotta convince my mom that the puppy really deserves to be part and parcel of our loving family, with cousins to play with the puppy and watch it grow.  Looks like need to determine the sex and confer a proper doggy name soon.  Any suggestions/comments?
